Mana cores. Reminds me of Tbate, but i also wonder how the ranking system is going to work for mana cores is it like deepwoken with star mantras so level 1 mana core can use 1 star mantras?

Gods give skills that are related to their jurisdiction. For a God of earthquakes, one gets an increased affinity with the earth, and earth related powers for example. One can gain more abilities through intense training developing new personal skills, or by massing a certain amount of magic in their "Mana Core" to initiate another trial. One can take up to 5 trials from S-D of various difficulties. Your Mana Core is what allows you to cast spells and is formed after your first trial completion. Its maximum volume increases every "rank" which you can see on your status screen. Your rank increases as you learn to master mana more efficiently.

so the gods of man made things like order, peace, evil, laws, etc are conceptuals and the gods of fire, life, death, water, etc are not?

The strength of a Diver and their potential varies greatly from God, to God. Generally the stronger the God, the harder their trial becomes. The strongest Gods are those whom contain concepts, instead of actions or substance. We call them Conceptuals. Notable examples of these are Ardor, Solans, and Cybele. They are the ones who ruled over the other Gods in their "Factions". As of now there have only been 17 recorded Chosen Conceptuals, and none from the big 3. Conceputals only have 1 Chosen, while Embodiment Gods are not given such constraints, due to the power gap.

mana gates? the 2 things i think of when thinking of mana gates is the whirlpool or uber dsk tp they can do

Eventually we the Divers, chosen by the Gods through their trials appeared. The Gods have no power over the living world, and cannot interfere or influence it without their Chosen children. So they create the trial by using "Mana" the law of the world to twist the natural magic that the Drowning created in order to make a mental simulation for their chosen human to take. If you fail the trial, one becomes one of the drowned; a soulless being who has been corrupted by the magic of the depths. We enter the "Mana Gates" created by the Depths and close them before they amass enough magic to break open, allowing the monsters inside to be released.

"This is the 4th level of healing magic that I am granted as a Chosen of Elmira. So it means you can suffer again and again without stopping." he smiled wickedly as the bot began moving again.

"Its probably a skill you got from awakening, and from the sounds of it its a mobility skill. At any rate you seem to be doing just fine with 'easy' so lets ramp it up a bit to 'intermediate'. You can choose your own weapon if you want." After rapidly typing a few keys, the dummy shuddered then jolted at me.

"Your here to awaken your stigma. The initial engraving is slightly painful, hence the restraints, and the awakening is difficult this far into the mainland. That's where the supplement comes in by making you more attuned to the mana in your surroundings. You can probably feel it by now."
