I’ve been imagining him using his right hand the whole novel. And I’m to far gone to change that and to lazy. So to me he is still right handed (sorry)
Everything remained the same, but also strangely... inverted. What was to his right was now to his left, while what was to his left was to his right. Sunny was more or less ambidextrous, but he still favored his left hand... now, he weirdly felt his right hand was more responsive.

The young woman was slender and graceful, with flawless ivory skin and striking grey eyes. Her face was calm, aloof, and strangely mesmerizing. What shocked Rain much more, however, was that the beautiful stranger's skin glistened with moisture, as if she had just left the shower. She was wearing nothing but one of Sunny's black shirts, leaving her long legs mostly bare.

Maybe he’s alive. But until then for me he’s dead because I doubt he could survive everything going on in Antarctica even if he did become an awakened. And that there is now way that Antarctica is not falling and that even when the cohort becomes saints I doubt they will be able to do much. And I don’t really see him having a promonient place in the story and his death can serve as a character growth for Effie.
But then again… the guy had devil's luck. If anyone could pull through the winter solstice in Antarctica, it would be him.

I don’t think Effie is going to die, although I do believe that the nameless sleeper is dead because of everything happening in Antarctica. And that most of the awakened are either dead or have fled to the dream realm along with the saints. And that there is most likely sudden of nm gates forming. And it could serve as a way to give Effie some development.
'I have to get her out of this hellhole alive.'
