Hey thanks for the constructive feedback! I appreciate it. To clarify a few things: No harem. not my style. and neither am i seeing anything truly monogamous in the near future either. I think your main criticisms can be addressed by the simple fact that this story is a wish fulfillment slice-of-life. Nothing you said is wrong. I am going on tangents because that's exactly what I want to do. Its the nature of the genre. I'm not writing a high and tight mystery novel that needs every single line of dialogue or narration to serve an ultimate purpose in the story. You called the acting scenes cutscenes, and again, you are right. Thats what they are, theyre cutscenes that show two very specific things. 1- they show the differences to original timeline, and how the mc's performance and behaviour in the preceding chapters lead to these changes. 2- its the best demonstration of the mcs growing skill as well as to humanize him when he makes mistakes in his performances. The scenes are the embodiment of show don't tell. I'm not telling you how good the mc is becoming at his job or that he made changes. I'm showing you through the scene themselves. The only point i will disagree with is your comment about the cohesive plot. You cannot weave one in 2000 words. it is a lengthy process especially for a slower paced story like this. For example - we are currently filming tokyo drift - a movie I foreshadowed over three years ago in story time. It took me two real months in real life to steadily get to that point. The plot is there, you just need to step back and take a wider view. Forests have more than just trees in them.
