After announcing our engagement the next week dad told, I should stay with them until Ruka and me got married. Was it necessary? To top it Annesana added telling it was a good idea. I saw her whisper something to Ruka in his ears and he had stood there listening to it intently. Ruka had just given a curt nod to it and had told not to worry kissing my forehead. I knew if it wasn't for Annesana, Ruka would have told to let me stay there. He did not work as a teacher anymore in the school and it was almost a year since I moved back to my house. He would drop me home though from school.

After all with the way she thought, life was perfect the way it was now. She had everything she wanted, including the fact that her sister Heidi was sent as a suicide mission to the land dominated by vampires.

Heidi was looking at the flowers when she heard something rustle behind her and this time it didn't feel like it was the trees. She turned around to see it was nothing before her eyes fell on the dark figure that stood behind one of the trees. She inhaled sharply when the figure moved away from the tree to reveal a large cloaked hooded figure. It's movements were slow but steady as it headed in her direction. Her senses had numbed for an instance until she realized it was getting closer and closer with every second. Just as she took a step back, breaking the twig she had stepped on into two pieces, the hooded figure stopped to raise its head which was covered with its cloak. As it brought its bony hands in view, she gulped knowing there wasn't a man but probably a skeleton under it. The next moment it walked in such speed that she felt her heart would stop if it weren't for the maid who called her at that time.
