I’m a new author with little to no experience writing novels. As the name implies, I’m taking it day by day and seeing how it goes.

Thanks for the comment. The MC's emotional arc and history are only just being expanded on in the latest chapters (50 onwards). The MC's family will be recurring characters that inevitably influence his decisions towards the end of the novel.

I made a mistake, it is purple. Thanks for pointing it out.

George is referring to his 'alleged' ability to see the future.
Thank you for the comment. When George talked to McGonagall, he was still under the effects of the Draught of Peace. George's inability to think pessimistically resulted in him over-selling his Teacher's Pet facade. Also, he couldn't have shown her 2nd Year magic since he hasn't practised any magic besides conjuring fire. Sorry if this seems too contrived.

Pretty much. I'm aiming to half the word count whilst not altering the story.

Conjuration is one of those areas of magic that the HP Books don't categorise well. In the 5th book, McGonagall says that Conjuration spells are usually only attempted by students at the N.E.W.T level. And yet, first-year students learn the Fire-Making spell in Charms class even though Conjuration is a form of Transfiguration. I guess my excuse for Hermione’s comment was due to the Transfiguration book she was currently reading, and perhaps she wasn’t familiar with the Charms curriculum yet.
She practically yelled, "Neville, do you have any idea what he just did!? That was Conjuration magic, it's a very advanced form of Transfiguration. It's only taught to sixth-years and above. No one at our age should be able to summon fire let alone be able to control it so calmly."

Thanks for your comment. I named the chapters how I did so potential readers knew what they were getting into right off the bat. I'm working on a cut down version, about half the length, which I'll probably release after I've finished the first book.

I'll admit, it's not exactly the most creative naming scheme.

Okay, I'll start with a no-spoilers answer. George doesn't have as much freedom as it may appear in these early chapters. There are simply things he can and can't do due to an unforeseen force limiting his choices. Now for the spoiler answer. George is in servitude to his patron, an individual who had raised George since he was a baby. 'The patron' has forced George to re-enter the real world and wants him to complete 'the mission'. Since 'the patron' and 'the mission' are not yet explained in the later chapters, I'll not be going into any further detail.

In preparation for this novel, I spent 3 months writing drafts for the first 100 chapters. The upload schedule will no longer be daily when the story reaches the start of November.

I'm so sorry. As penance, I'll write a song from scratch for the second year at Hogwarts.
George almost felt like complimenting Ron on his attitude. As long as he kept that mockery up, then everything should proceed swimmingly. The hat was placed on top of Hermione's head, and it immediately sprung to life. The folds in the leather hat formed eyes and a mouth. The hat seemed to be having some difficulty deciding which house to put Hermione in. George guessed that the hat was debating over putting Hermione into Ravenclaw or Gryffindor. He assumed that Hermione's bold attitude is what separates her from the majority of academics found in Ravenclaw. Most members of Ravenclaw appeared to be, what George considered, cliche nerds.

The first 37 chapters are mostly spent introducing the new characters and locations, I don't blame you if you're getting bored. If it's any consolation, George will be arriving at Hogwarts around chapter 42.

Don't worry Coldman. If you want all the spoilers, you need only ask. Let's start with George, he's a REDACTED and is REDACTED. His patron, also known as REDACTED, has told George to REDACTED because of the REDACTED. I hope that clears everything up for you.

Thank you for your support, and I'm glad you're enjoying this novel. I've already written the drafts for the next 50 chapters, so George's story isn't going to end anytime soon.
