I agree with the author on this one
A: I'm trying to balance the lines between having Akira progress in a somewhat natural way while not making him super OP from the start. Having <Orders> which give him kryptonian physiology or makes him a super 300iq genius would mess up the story and just make it a Mary sue.

If there was any doubt Akira felt over that statement, then it all vanished when he recalled the strength of Stars and Stripes. Despite having the same quirk, Akira's was like a small candle, while hers was like a raging inferno . While he could barely brainwash an old man with both of his orders, Stars and Stripes basically had the power to warp reality.
