If you get a divorce are you able to move to an independent household or do you move back to your parents household? Do women have rights to accept or refuse a marriage or can they basically be sold by their male family members at will? Is slavery legal? If her husband wanted to sale her as a slave would she have the right to refuse?

I just realized what is going on. Wang Ru read a novel when Xue Han was the female protagonist then transmigrated into a character of that novel and used her knowledge as a transmigrator to essentially replace the protagonist. Zhulan read a novel about this world after Wang Ru transmigrated here where Wang Ru was the protagonist, the reason she keeps calling Xue Han the heroine is because that is how the novel featuring Wang Ru described her because Xue Han was the heroine of the novel that Wang Ru read. It’s basically like this world is on its third iteration. The first iteration is the version where no one transmigrated and Xue Han was the protagonist. The second iteration is where Wang Ru transmigrated and she herself is the protagonist. The third iteration is the current story.

FL’s body is only 37 and her soul is only 27, I’m pretty sure Wang Ru’s soul is a modern times transmigrator. So if she was 30 or 40 she likely wasn’t a grandma, because it’s less common to be a grandma in modern times that young, but not impossible

Overall there are 6 children of the original couple. He is talking about the 3rd son and 4th son. The 3rd son is like 14 and the 4th son is like 11. They are both studying so they haven’t been in many scenes. Plus the 1st (21) and 2nd (20) sons aren’t in many scenes because they are working in the family fields. The eldest daughter hasn’t been met yet because she was already married at the time of transmigration and obviously the little girl we keep meeting is the youngest of the kids.
