to be honest i am surprised that you guys did not realize that this was obvious that author wanted to make it holy grail war from the beginning emiya was summoned as servant not as counter gurdian or get reincarnated like what happened in to love sword ( one of this author‘s other stories ) so it was obvious that the grail will choose other masters and summon other servants to fill the number of the required servants to this war this how how the system work in canon the author did nothing wrong here also even if there no other servant get summoned there still so many characters in dxd that can beat emiya like the gods and also ophis and great red so it won‘t be surprise to emiya to struggle

i still dont know how sirzechs and akuja realize that diodora was listening to their conversation about summoning servants
So, despite what many fans suspected (or no doubt hoped, in some instances) Diodora did not summon Jeanne Alter. Or anyone, for that matter. He attempted the summoning ritual before doing the one to obtain his own set of Command Seals, and on top of that, despite his insistence that he followed all the instructions, he got impatient and cut corners, which you NEVER do when it comes to Type Moon Magecraft. So the end result of his rushed, half-assed efforts was the ritual literally blowing up in his face with no Servant showing up, and several of his peerage members being burnt to a crisp.
