A slug! I was just a slug! With no useful abilities, no EXP, with my stats as low as they can be except for INT, and even that was much lower than I had before. "Mucus"? What could it even do? Could I drown my prey in it? I doubted that. But at least my 'Devourer' ability was unchanged.

Captain Mark rushed in with the baron while screaming, easily killing five of them.

He had plans on increasing his growth speed using the special energy, also deciding to save the energy for future research. However, he probably had to use it now, otherwise, he would just have himself killed here. Angele wanted to at least slow them down.

Angele took a bite on the mushroom. Although he yearned for Chinese food back on Earth, the dishes here were ingenious and tasty. The only thing that made him sad was that people here did not eat rice, and there was only bread available in the castle. The nobles ate white bread while the maids ate black bread. Drinking soup while eating bread was typical here, but it took Angele a while to get used to it.

Not all of the baron’s wives got to sit on the table, the only ones around were favored by him. There were about ten dishes on the table. There were meat stew, pan fried vegetables, steamed fish, and a huge piece of roasted beef that was sitting in the middle.

Angele kept eating the bamboo shoots to increase his attributes during these days. He was trying to serve the bamboo shoots to his father too, but the chip reported that the enhancement effect was solely effective to Angele himself. It seemed like his body was distinctly different from other people around him. The bamboo shoots might help him a lot, but they would only make the baron’s stomach ache. Angele felt slightly disappointed about the result.

the Assassin is smth that showed up a month ago and hasn't made a move, he can't just not live his life due to its threat that said, the bear was like 6 2 8 in stats and the baron was said to be all 2s so there is no way he coulda killed it, even if he sacrificed an arm unless he brought all his troops but they made it sound like he went alone
Half an hour later, Angele heard the roars of the bear from the forest, and then he heard the sounds of battle. After a while, the baron walked out of the forest. There was blood coming out of his mouth and his left arm looked broken. However, he was smiling.

They all wore green suits with tree leaves on them. The men all had handsome faces, and the females were all superbly attractive. Angele would probably hire them if they were not his enemies because he liked good-looking people for some reason.
