Updating in a comment to better reflect the full accurate rating: When originally rating, I was presented with a option for rating 5 different categories (1-5 stars), which does not seem to be reflected in the overall rating score shared with the review. A bit odd (and less then helpful for the author or other readers) that the site offers the category rating, but does not show the actual ratings given after. Anyway, here's a better layout of the accurate rating given with my review: Writing Quality: 4 Stars. Fitzsimons is a solid writer and knows how to weave a compelling tale. I can see him continuing to expand & grow as an author and becoming a great writer (maybe even writing some future classics) as he continues to pursue & hone his craft. Stability of Updates: 5 Stars. TBH, wasn't really sure what this indicated, but as I had no issues accessing/reading the novel, it seemed very stable & his work itself was enjoyable & felt ready for the reader to enjoy. Story Development: 5 Stars. Fitzsimons packs a lot into the novel, but weaves the story and characters into the narrative in such a way that is didn't feel rushed, but definitely left me wanting to explore more of the story in the future. Character Design: 4 Stars. The characters felt alive & real. At times, I would have enjoyed seeing more natural flow in the dialogue, but their designs, & how they interacted with each other, their environments, & the story was really enjoying to read. I especially enjoyed reading a healthy, positive outlook on Poly Relationships, which is a very rare thing in media. World Background: 5 stars. As my initial review states, Fitzsimons has a great amount of skill & drive in creating worlds, lore & history. I would say its one of his greatest skills in writing, and that attention to the world, background, & lore of the story truly makes his universe and visions come to life. Anyone can make a fantasy adventure, but it takes a real storyteller to make you actually believe in the world the story is set in. In the end, my review comes very close to a solid 5 stars, & I look forward to seeing more from Fitzsimons, and eagerly await his future works to follow & enjoy his journey & growth as a writer & the skilled storyteller that he is.
