Biggest downfall? I call it his weapon. All his life he was bullied, insulted, looked down by the likes of Aren, a nobleman. So you can’t blame Riftan for keeping that mouth of him. It is his shield from getting manipulated by the higher-ups.
"Though, I admit, I still find it difficult to appreciate his foul mouth."

But she is gonna let another man touch and d/ance with her?? Oh that’s not
Despite her confidence, Maxi suddenly found it difficult to breathe. Just imagining another woman touching him tore at her heart.

In real world, Sidina is right. 🫢
"He might not have the intention, but I doubt that would stop other women from fawning over him. And anyway, the two of you have been separated for three years. I'm sure he would've been tempted on more than one occasion. Do you really think his fidelity has never faltered? He is a man, after all."

Aren is probably the Wigrew Maknae.
Kuahel was oiling his sword a short distance away. He regarded the Livadonian commander as though he were a small insect.

Okey the first lines were funny af, aren. But please stop, you sound like Prince Edward in Enchanted now, corny.
"It saddens me to hear that my attractive visage makes you so uneasy," teased Sejuleu, smirking.

Meanwhile, lots of men today 🫤
The muscles in his broad neck twitched as he spat each word, "All I want is for my wife to live an easier life. My greatest desire is to leave this treacherous place at once! Is that such a sin?"

So basically, Leon used a dose of anesthesia of a 300 pound monster to a 100 pound human.
Ruth seemed equally as shocked. He lightly gritted his teeth and said, "And he knocked the living daylights out of you. He overdid it, though, presumably because he's only ever used the spell on monsters. It is why it's taken this long for you to wake up."

Ouch
"A-And what concern is that of yours?" she said bitingly. "Losing seven or eight lives… shouldn't make much difference to you! So why interfere?!"

No offense but Maxi will not be able to use the levitation spell if Riftan or anyone failed to save her when she fell off the cliff. Riftan broke their fall and that break is essential enough to lessen the probability of them dying. Besides, Maxi was drained off of mana at that time and only managed the minute quantity of levitation spell after she had the time to breath and think. Also, in Riftan POV, he had falled from mountains and cliffs several times already so im pretty sure, if maxi didnt use a spell, he is just gonna use his own body to protect her from fall.
"There are better mages in his party," he said, slowly strutting over. "And to say nothing of Riftan Calypse's competence as a seasoned swordsman who has been through all manner of trials. How would you solve a predicament even they could not?"

This is better than if Riftan came back earlier than Maxi, He would definetely track her footprints from the snow if he needs to
Noticing this, Elliot said reassuringly, "Do not worry, my lady. There is still time until the agreed date. We simply returned earlier. The commander should be back sometime tomorrow."

Dragon:
Would his heart ever open again? Maxi tried to drive the gloomy thought from her mind. All they needed was time. Once this mission was over, they would have all the time in the world to learn about each other. After staring at the shadows swaying on the rock, Maxi closed her eyes as if in prayer.

Tbh tho, the notion that Riftan has that Dragon-like trait/perspective isn’t something Riftan can actually TELL Maxi or anyONE for that matter. It is Kuahel’s observation or conclusion, might be biased, wrong or even correct….but it is not something Riftan could just say, “Yeah, I have this Dragon POV, let’s discuss so you could know me more.”
The things Kuahel had said about Riftan swirled in her mind. The possibility that there could be hidden aspects of him, secret even from her, filled her with anxiety. She wanted to understand all of him, to know him completely. Not only as a lover, but as a lord of an estate and as a knight.

I am pretty sure aside from Kuahel, Riftan will also blame Calto, who recruited her into this campaign, Agnes, who recruited you into Norniu, her Father, who created all the problems, abd himself, because he is just that.
"Even if something were to happen to me… I doubt Riftan would blame you for it, Sir Kuahel," she said icily.

Me too, i feel like Riftan Infiltration Team if more exciting and action-packed. With Sidina and her bubbly personality, i wonder how will they successfully infiltrate the monster city.
It was dark by then, and the wind was blowing more fiercely. Maxi anxiously looked down the bleak, rocky mountain shrouded in darkness. The time she had been trapped in a cave with Riftan came to mind. She had not felt any fear back then. In fact, all she had felt was happiness at being alone with him.

I wonder if the magic from priests like Kuahel and Croyso’s have the same taste compared to mages’ magic like Ruth’s? I dont recall Maxi feeling the same when Ruth healed her before.
"Th-Thank you," she managed to say respectfully while trying to shake off the repulsive feeling.

Monsters with just a basic animal instinct is already terrifying…but monsters with human level knowledge, now that’s entirely something else
Maxi's hair stood on end, and she instinctively grabbed Riftan's forearm. The terrifying outlines of the monsters were visible even at such a great distance. Their hulking forms were encased in blackened iron armor, and they wore horned steel helmets. Each time they took a step, the massive axes slung over their shoulders glinted in the sun.

I have this extreme urge to throw Royald to the first line of the campaign myself
Anette, Maxi, Miriam, Geoffrey, Nevin, and even Celric shot daggers at Royald.
Fantasy · Suji Kim
Riftan learned how to negotiate with seasoned mercenaries recruiters at age 15 and she ACTUALLY SAID THAT?
Was it wise for her to accept such a seasoned player's challenge so rashly? Her winning streak against Riftan could very well have been due to his complete lack of talent in the game. She nervously shifted her eyes, deliberating over what to do, when Anette sighed.

Ruth needs justice from those mages. Name calling is one thing, but Maxi just listening to their insults towards HER FIRST TEACHER and doing nothing is so much worse. Mm
Maxi sat down. "Th-The other mages have something they wish to ask you, and I was tasked with bringing you to them."
