An elf‘s lifespan is long so I think a traveling to different worlds is a good idea and you can also send him to different magic worlds and have him learn different magic systems. Like Lord of the rings would be a good one. Skyrim would be really fun, but that is just up to you. I really do like this book and also I like to see if you do granted character immortality how you would go about it
