are you trying to do a cyberpsychosis thing with the whole avatar disconnect? because I feel like that's what it is, especially with the addition of neck implant that wasn't in original overlord novels. I always wondered how they would affect an actual psychopath, guess this kinda answered my question lol.

She sighed, "I can't exactly live in an orphanage while being a villain now can I? It's a good cover story but it will cause more problems than necessary." Of course this was only a half truth. Koko did not want this man of all people to know she cared about those in the orphanage. The real reason Koko wanted to leave was because it would put her siblings into too much danger. They were her weakness. If any of her enemies figured out her identity they would go after them first. The heroes wouldn't but the villains definitely would. 'My life is becoming to dangerous for them to be involved with it.'

okay yeah, definitely a case of not knowing how to write her, this confirmed it.
Izuku took in his surroundings. This park used to be their favorite spot. He would gush about the latest activities of All Might while Koko silently listened, idly moving back and forth on the swingset. He could have sworn she had the faintest sign of a smile during those times. Maybe it was just his imagination.

Sorry I keep nitpicking but.. this would have been more interesting to read if we were shown more of her personality, if she actually had muted emotions (I'm assuming this is the actual reason since the author wouldn't put it here without it being canon to her, and deku is too much of an optimist to think like that) then her caring about the orphanage would be super out of character (some people besides me found it strange too) even though most chapters are from her POV, it feels like she gets too little Screentime and I see you improved how you write characters a lot, I mean deku quirk analysis thing that was pretty much ignored in the anime, is more apparent here, his awkwardness shows too, some of his self loathing, his care for his mom, his .. complicated feelings towards bakugo etc I think you just struggle with writing her type of character because it's new to you, at least that's what I think is the correct answer from what I gathered.
It was hard not to, she was an interesting girl. Whatever it was she always kept the same indifferent attitude. He had his theories, of course. His running one was muted emotions. Maybe caused by her Quirk or something genetic. He couldn't be too sure. "Was that why she stuck around me?" He muttered darkly, "Because she didn't care enou-" Izuku caught himself, and took a glance at his mother. She hadn't noticed. He shook his head. He had been her friend and she his. It wouldn't do any good to think any other way.

I definitely noticed improvements, I'm still doubtful about the characterisation of Koko, she seems a bit all over the place, a few of her actions didn't make sense too
I woke up today and decided to finish the chapter I've been slowly writing. I've been reading a web serial called Worm lately (It's really good you should read it) and I feel like my first-person writing has gotten a lot better because of it.

at the very least make her indifferent to it, she's not a true villain if she cares about anyone but herself. honestly, if you want i can help with characterisation, I'm kinda sick and tired of not finding any evil female protagonists, Most of them are either clickbait or suck.
