Before all the technological advancements we have today. We had to wait a long time for the next book in a series, years sometimes. We are lucky we get to experience a book more closely as it's written chapter by chapter; perhaps even influencing it. I tend to be far more excited for a book to come out than I am disappointed it didn't come out soon enough. As long as it comes out well in the end I'm sure the wait is worth it .
