Very good point, the hole in the floor of the archive might be a connection to yet another artefact of that black stone allowing stuff (in this case, the journals) to have a sustained existence outside the loop! 🤔

Which was understandable, considering that they were sharing the table with a homicidal maniac. Mordret was nothing but amiable and pleasant, but it was exactly his disarming charm that made everyone feel disturbed and uncomfortable. After all, they all knew what the Prince of Nothing was capable of… some better than others.

So... Mordret jumps into a reflection somewhere, Sunny and Kai are far enough (along with Dread Lord), Jet and Ephie are in the locket... but Cassie really had nowhere to run - and her last thought in the previous chapter ('It's time.') seems to support the thesis, that she had seen this very end for herself 😢
