trillion is the defining factor of the true number so it has to stay and use up 999 trillions, or the first 3 zeros you put infront of it before it can be a quadrillion or anything else. every set of 3 zeros is a factor of 1000. that why 1000 trillion is 1 quadrillion. if you want quintillions as described by trillions you need to increase 1000 trillion by another factor of 1000, or 1,000,000 trillion. sextillions would be 1,000,000,000 trillion.
