No the surprise came from four people he had simply not expected to get a gift from at all due to his limited interaction with them. Madam Maxime , Olivander , Mr. Crumonte and Nicolas Flammel all sent him gifts. His curiosity got the best of him and he ignored the normal gifts in favor of opening these first. From Madam Maxime there was a card addressed to him that explained why he had received a gift from her. It was simply because she loved the newest line of fashion that had been created based on Nazgul and wanted to give him a piece of it to show her appreciation.-

Nick stood in his realm holding the light material in his hands as he began the condensation process of the crafting style under the analysis of the realm. He made various handsigns that caused his magic to wrap around the material and begin to stab into and fuse with it. Once enough magic had been injected the material violently shuddered and began to fold into itself while taking a specific form that it was most attuned to. To Nick's irritation that form was not a ring of some sort like he had thought but rather was an arrow with a round golden head and white flame-like feather fletching.

Nick much like Helena felt repulsed by the ring but controlled himself and didn't move to destroy it but picked it up and sucking in a sharp breath as the ring eagerly turned over the energy it had obtained. The energy flowed into his body and directly into his soul causing it to start to stretch and expand to accommodate it. Once the energy stopped flowing Nick felt physically sick with a hammering headache and an intense case of nausea like he had eaten far too much despite not eating anything other than breakfast today.-

Nick also left the workshop with a focused gaze and his wand held firmly in his right hand. He took all the short cuts he could to the seventh floor avoiding the suddenly tight security on the third floor entirely. Ten minutes later Nick stood outside the blank wall across from the tapestry of Barnabus the barmy trying to teach trolls ballet. 'I need a place to hide things' he thought firmly three times while pacing back and forth causing a familiar wooden door to appear. Taking a deep breath to steady his nerves he reached out and pushed the door open.-

The metal had the unique property of being extremely powerful when enchanted with dark magic and was even theorized to have some connection to soul magic. Helena was likely referring to this when she made the suggestion but Nick refused to even attempt to make the horrible stuff. "NO." he said firmly and while she looked a bit disappointed at his response she could still accept it and fell into thought again. While he waited for her to decide on the material he took stock of his collection of metals.

Nick stopped forcing the issue and held the wall for a moment as a wave of vertigo hit him. Once the world stopped spinning he tentatively released the wall and felt his lip where he found a small amount of blood. "NEN!"(Water) he said calmly in elvish while pushing his wand forward causing a small orb of pure water to appear in the air. With a careful movement of his wand Nick moved the orb of water to his face where he rinsed off the blood the best he could without a mirror.-
