From the last chapter i thought about a theory but from this chapter I think its might be canon So the theory is that the main goal from this mission wasn’t Inès but Azariah if you remember in the first chapters the mother knew there was something wrong with Az behavior so she used Inès power to see his past, it’s really making me remembering LOTM Plot twists. I don’t know how she will get this information maybe torture or somekind of spell I don’t know, ofcourse even if killing Inès isn’t the main goal but it’s still a goal as she saw Az past and the mother deeds and doing. Also if you remember in the dreams chapter there was a dream were inder and the Mothe stand beside each other this might be were they met.

At that time a prince of Qin was prisoned in Zhao, the people wants to express their hatred and anger but what they can do attack Qin that literally sucide, so they went to the one and only option the prince, but the prince had already escape without anyone knowing, but at the time the prince lived in Zhao he married the “flower of Zhao” and she got pregnant and the people went not only to the child but also the mother they raped her hit her she was so depressed that she started selling her body for some food. the child was being hit 24 hour a day and people started to curse the blood that is inside his body and accusing him for the massacre, ofcorse when you tell a child something he will start to believe its actually his doing he was traumatized and being hit and tortured of 9 years.
