that's because they didn't translate it correctly that's the same for the french version (the one i read) but it's a name so you don't translate it but they still did for whatever reason and since they did that for everything most people just know the wrong names but i cant blame the translator as they didn't know what Dragon ball was at the time and for them no one would've cared about it. That's why in the USA you got only DBZ in the 2000's instead of in the 90's (that's also why dragon ball evolution exists btw, because most only watched DBZ that's also why people who only like one piece, naruto,... don't like Dragon ball. it's because they didn't even watch it they only watched DBZ unfortunately)
