Webnovel Author: Grey_Ember - Novel Collection

So...I know I should probably stop forgetting to update this. I don't really spend a lot of time on webnovel and I hardly check for notifications cos...well, I don't update that often so I never really expect much...but I finally did today, I spent hours scrolling through webnovel books (I literally had nothing better to do) and they made me wanna check up on this one so I finally checked the details of my book on this platform. Gotta say, not surprising how sad it is. There was a bonus tho, the first thing I noticed was the 9 power stones I received, that's never happened before...or maybe it has and I just never noticed (I have no idea what to do with them too. FR, I literally have no clue what power stones do, help). Anyway, I wanted to to know who sent them so I finally checked the fan list and .. SURPRISE! 5 people who may or may NOT be the same person (talking about you Freecoins) Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the support but at the same time I'm like...why? Are you a fan? Cos that would be awesome!! Unless you're a troll, in which case I'd still think you're awesome (confused? great, let's move on) *Ahem* anyway, the main reason I decided to write this is because...well, I saw a lot of them while scrolling through other books and I thought. Why not. (Yeah, I'm copying, shut it). I don't mind answering any questions about the book if anyone is still following and if you're reading this before the book then the two stars are...sadly accurate. See, let me explain. So when it comes to writing quality... I'm a little below average cos this is my first project. I know, sucky excuse, but I can't help it. I'm trying it always feels so different when I read other books and I can't figure out why. So, again, HELP. Story development? I'd like to think it's not that bad. I mean I've been developing this story since I was 10. It was pretty mediocre then cos I was doing it for fun...my imagination was just going nuts. I mean Jin was originally the main character and the plot was entirely centered around the soul gate. How did everything else come about? I have no idea. I made sucky hand drawn comic books on it while playing around and had time to play around with the characters too I guess. That's why it comes with [Tales of the fallen] I really didn't want to just blend it all together cos there were some characters in there I just HAD to show off. Like Icarus, man, I enjoyed writing about him more than the main book. Which brings me to character design...uhm, okay I'd like to think I tried on this one. I mean my writing is pretty...not...that great as I have mentioned (but I'm working on doing better...as I have also mentioned) I originally wrote it as a sort of script first cos I had no idea what I was doing (that's why there's so much dialogue) then I came across webnovel like last year and I learned that you can actually write stuff so I just...rushed to change it (I'm not kidding, I had no idea you could do this). That's probably why my characters are possibly lacking. I don't know about you but they feel kinda shallow, but I'll figure out how to add more depth to them soon so stick around. Updating stability...well, not proud of this one either but it is NOT ideal. I mean, I suck in a lot of ways but when it comes to this...WOW! I can't help but hate myself too. Oh but I did recently try to change that by scheduling a mass release of 10 chapters for 300 coins (which I also have no idea what they're for) and I pissed off like 30 people who added it to their collections. Not a proud number, I know, that's on me...so I'd like you to know that that one was not my fault. I was actually gonna do it but I got sick. I was in bed the whole goddamn festive season (shittiest thing ever btw, don't recommend it) I was able to write like four chapters which I'm now updating daily cos, well, why not? Ok now lastly, there's World background. I actually have NO IDEA how I'm doing on this one. I see the sights in my head and I try to put them in words but it's never satisfying so...idk. Yeah, my writing is that bad. (but again still working on improving. And yes, I keep reminding you on purpose)Alright, I'mma catch my breath for a minute.........................hold on....................................just a minute.............................. okay I think I'm good. Now, there are also a lot of mistakes in the book, (mostly grammatical errors) and I am trying to fix that....from chapter 1. It's a nightmare. But my new year's resolution was to finally work harder on this so...you can just imagine how much I hate myself for that. Uhm, there's not really much left to say except to encourage you to try it and ask me anything, so...try it out, you probably WON'T regret it (fr, no promises).I'm not that good at this but I do have something that might convince you. I have a hive mind for a fan! How many people can say that!? Well, it's either that or one guy with 5 different accounts. (yeah, still talking about you FreeCoins guy). Between you and me, I'm praying he's a hive mind too. That would be SO cool!Okay, I think that's it. So GODDAMN LONG! For real tho, just try the book and tell me what you think. One chapter is fine. Just read one chapter.Oh and I have no idea if it's free or not so...I mean, I signed a contract and everything a while ago but that's pretty much it, so, read it before I figure it out...Sorry if I already have. I'm writing this after 76 chapters btw...and I think it was contracted at 30 chapters. In case you're wondering, I don't know what's wrong with me either.

I scroll this page whenever I'm feeling kinda bored everyday to read other people's reviews because my story never gets any...but this is the first time I've seen one this bad, like...holy sh*t😶 wow! Goddamn! You sound so angry my guy. Maybe cut him some slack? Damn!!

It's pretty good, more updates would do pretty well. I really want to learn more about the characters, hopefully they'll develop as I read. Love it so far.

This is so good. It's a really relaxing read. The characters are relatable and pretty well crafted. I also like the steady pace at which the story progresses, it blends super well with the poetic writing style.
