So I thought about this, and I'm pretty sure she's technically been barefoot this whole time. I had to go back to double check, but it never actually talks about there getting shoes, so I think she's technically been barefoot this whole time. Although I'm not sure how much sense that actually makes though so I might go back and change a few things. Or at least clarify that and give a reason for it.
I almost couldn't believe it. I had survived what I thought were much harsher conditions, but my skin was turning blue, and my fingers and toes were bright red with frostnip after just a few seconds of being underwater, as if the water was cutting through my magic and affecting my body directly.

Elves mature just slightly slower than humans into young adults, (25) at which point "maturity" becomes defined by how strong their magic is as far as other elves are concerned. Although there is some variation in this. So she might as well be 47, just in the body of a 25 year old.

Gauntlet. It fully covers all of her fingers with interconnected plates layered over toughened leather. Which is important for later.
It was a full gauntlet that reached past my elbow, shining with a deep blue and holding a unique Damascus steel pattern on it. Combined with metal plates and a mix of hard and soft leather, it covered my entire left arm from my shoulder down. 'Well, it's not like it's full plate, it shouldn't weigh me down, and it would be good to have something I could use as a shield.'

She did in the earlier drafts. But realistically she is self aware enough that she knew she was probably going to end up making it awkward for herself. She was also thinking about what her brother had said about staying focused, and is just generally more serious (Most of the time) So I thought this might fit better. Do you think I should change it again? Rafi technically knows everyone that has ever used dark magic, seeing as how she is the god/saintess of the abyss and a lesser extent lost souls.

After a moment of rest, I stood back up and cleaned the Wargs, storing everything with my magic, collecting my spear, and double-checking I had everything before I climbed back into the canopy.
