It was said way back in an earlier chapter, but everything in that world, including trees and the ocean, has mana in it, so people can't really take control over it easily. Which is what makes Yui's existence even more strange since she could technically mess around with the environments mana as well.
And with that, we went our separate ways. I would've hugged Kaede, but with her carrying Mell and the fact that I'm still dripping wet, I'd only be getting both of them wet in the process. So instead, we smile at one another before splitting off, with Undine, Ona, Natalie and I heading up the hill to the mansion, and Kaede and the others entering their house.

Fleur must've been barely hanging in back there with everyone close together like that. Faye however still looks to be as composed as ever. I don't even think she needs that much training if I'm honest. But now that they're my responsibility, I do need to find a source of blood for them. Maybe once this supervision thing is over I can maybe find a job as a medic at one of the guilds in Epillon and hopefully harvest some excess blood here and there. That could work.

Miraculously, Fleur lifted her head slowly from Faye's neck as streams of tears begin to pour from Fleur's eyes. But her eyes were bright red, entirely different than her sister's, the same eyes as Kaede's. Kaede herself quickly knelt down to heal Faye's neck, with Faye's consciousness now beginning to waver as her eyelids grow heavy.

Good question. I'd say, sure she could, but it's not very practical. So my answer would be a no. Maybe something light like a small dagger for parrying would be a better fit for her off-hand.

Suddenly I could feel my stomach feeling hot, a sharp pain radiating from my abdomen. My mind raced as I struggled to comprehend what was happening, but the shock of the moment left me numb and unable to move. Looking down, I saw what appeared to be a large knife, stuck inside me where the pain was emanating from. Blood slowly gushed from the wound, soaking my clothes and staining the ground beneath me. Everything around me seemed to move at slow motion as I fought to stay conscious, knowing that my life was in grave danger.

XD Thank you for reading my novel <3 Yeah, Kaede's life has been quite a rollercoaster.
I proceed to hand over a small plate of food to Mell, who gently took it from my hands while Fleur hands Lilith a plate of food. I gesture to Olivia to come sit by at the table with me to eat our food as I look over towards Kaede. The table looks to only hold 4 people, but my worries would be futile as Lilith took the third seat, and Kaede and Mell taking the last with Mell sitting on Kaede's lap.
