Pretty sure that there is no definitive answer to what Madara's Mangekyo abilities were so it's always fun to see what the different authors come up with. As for the meteor, I could be remembering wrong but I think that was either something to do with the Rinnegan or it was like a mix of absolute extreme earth/fire style juts.

There is a great difference though. If you don't think brainwashing somebody to do your bidding and giving them the ability to brainwash other's so that you stay loyal to them is vastly different then I'm concerned for your mentality.
But… he wasn't about to enslave them just because he wanted them to become powerful. He already felt a bit guilty about doing that to Pyrrha. And while she did technically forgive him afterwards, he felt that it didn't count.

I somewhat agree with this, but feel Obito probably wouldn't follow the exact canon plan since Rin is still alive as the three tails jinchuriki.
AN: In canon, Akatsuki waited that long because the 3 tails died with Yagura and took years to reform. But 3 tails is still alive in this world. All other Tailed beasts are also accounted for, plus the major villages are currently at war with each other. This is as good a chance as any for the Akatsuki to gather the Tailed Beasts.

He has used his Sharingan though? Sure it was his clone but I doubt it matters since it's still a Sharingan. (To be clear it was the Genjustu requirement chapter)
It has already been more than three months since the night of the Uchiha Genocide, and to date, he doesn't know if someone is keeping watch over him from the shadows or not. He has never ignored the possibility of an Anbu shinobi or a Root shinobi keeping watch over him all the time, this is why, he is always acting in extreme restraint, even to the extent that he has never once used his Sharingan except for the day he regained consciousness in this world.

I think it was stated in the first chapter he no or very little chakra and shortly after it was said he did have chakra, he just didn't have much.
