This reminds me of the united fruit company and the various banana republics in Central America, the way that the fruit enterprise exploited the local impoverished population was horrendous.

you know there is a Sergey Korolev, the rocket scientist right in your Soviet Union, the guy that designed the Sputnik and Vostok that spearhead Soviet space industry also is the key figure responsible for the Soviet intercontinental ballistic missile system. He is right now in the novel, but you can keep track of him
