I quickly look over at one of my oldest friends, Jacob Black. He has a lanky build and has his long dark hair flowing down, he's always been tall for his age. As we're looking at each other we both give each other a nod before doing the old handshake that we used to do as kids growing up. Once we finished we both began laughing as it was quite the childish handshake. "It's good to see you again man," I told him. He replies, "Yeah, same here. I thought I'd never see you again." I chuckle a bit at his response, "Don't worry Jacky boy, you can't get rid of me that easily." As we're standing around outside catching up Bella finally decides to come outside. I'm sure she's been listening in since the beginning but I won't push it. Billy and Jacob try to see if she remembers them and although she says yes, you can tell she's lien, well at least I can. I know my sister like the back of my hand not to mention she's just easy to read. Dad then chimes in as he says the truck next to him was Bella's. To my surprise, she hugged him and I could tell he was surprised as well. Dad then looks over to me and says, "Don't worry Eli, I have a surprise for you tomorrow as well." That got me excited about what I could potentially get but for now, I'll be stuck riding to school in the rust bucket with Bella tomorrow.

The Swan house was quiet that night nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary until you looked closer into the room of Elijah Swan. You could see him tossing and turning in bed as well as sweat continuously dripping down his body. Suddenly his eyes flashed open and instead of his usual blue-green eyes, they were an orange hue. He quickly hopped out of bed and headed over towards his window. Opening the window he leaps down from the second floor. As he lands on the ground flames begin to cover his body as he only stares off into the distant forest before him.
