Poor thing. He's a total sweet in the end.

With Lizzie's help to type longer and faster, Joseph described what he called an odd moment. Since Cujo had a way to make my emotional energy visible, Joseph was able to see my sadness as a gray mist and my positive emotions as sparks. The most remarkable thing was that Cujo put all the sadness in a sort of heap in the corner, and tried to eat the sparks. While listening to me and looking at the pictures I was showing him. The sparks seemed to choke him, but he tried anyway. In the end, he turned to the pile of sadness he'd collected and sank his head in it, like an animal drinking from a pond. That seemed to help him overcome the choking, and he went back to sit by my side and held my hand, keeping very still until I sat up.

Ha! I think I know who inspired you to build his character. ;D

He started wearing big thick glasses, and he wouldn't take his baseball hat or beanie off even if his life depended on it. A neat stubble covered his pointy chin, adding to the glasses and the caps to hide almost completely his face, unless it showed on a closeup with the right light.

She's brave! I wouldn't go down there for all the money in the world.

"Edward won't take any risks for me. And he won't stop me if I decide to make contact with this thing.

Gotta be kidding!

Jenkins clearly hesitated. "Haunters."

Right! A little over the top?

I decided to overlook their answer, that sounded like Tolkien describing the balrog.

Totally agree!

But most people call those scavengers demons, especially if they have strong religious beliefs, like the Blotters and father Thompson. Religions aren't exactly prone to middle grounds. Everything's black or white, so whatever doesn't fit in the good lane is labeled as evil.

So all of this is his fault?

Turned out the infamous Haunters had been to the Manor twice. Once for their first season, and then again for their hundred episode, on season five. Apparently, they hadn't come alone on their last visit. Along with all the production crew and sycophants, Brandon Price had brought a dark attachment he'd picked up at some other location they'd investigated. And while shooting in the Manor basement, somehow the dark entity that followed him around had stayed behind when he left. The thing had wreaked such a havoc over the following days, the tenant had fled in fear for his life.
