And Sonic was… skilled, if strange. The black sheep of the dojo, to be sure. He'd come to Bang originally, asking to be trained as a 'ninja'. Bang hadn't laughed, hadn't turned him away, but he'd certainly be amused by the dream. Sonic turned Water Stream into more of a 'Rushing Rapid' art, but the fact that he'd made it his own was impressive. Yet he, too, was only human.

If you want to get finicky about it, it could just be referring tot he linear progression of time experienced by the dragon, because he certainly ushers in a new age wherever he may appear
That is where I arrive, from one Age to another. My Hoard and I, in the local terms, are dimensional travelers from worlds unlike this one. We have been old, but here, we are young. This Age shall be our home for the time being.
