It sounded good to say he'd protect her, but what could he actually do? He was fit. And he was rich. So what? Physical ability and weapons didn't matter when he'd be outnumbered and out armed. Perhaps Liam Neeson could have fought his way to victory, but in the real world, it was hard to think of anything anyone could have done when dropped into that situation without warning.
