She likes having the fallen Lim family heir depending on her. As long as she was the superior provider then she felt he'd put up with anything because he needed her. Now he doesn't and due to how she was raised she doubts his claims of love and fidelity. Meaning she never really knew Ian at all.

Yeah she's no good. She berates him for standing up for himself when he gets insulted just walking into a room. Any shallower and she'll drown in a teaspoon of water.

I am surprised that Ian doesn't recognize Emilio, it wasn't that long ago that Emilio and Ian's father were friends who talked to each other.
Ian felt like he was living a dream, after speaking to the man he was handed a calling card and told to send his resume there. It shocked Ian, after months of searching he was handed a card to one of the most powerful companies in the country, the Reyes Group.
