I understand what you mean, but you're saying it from the writer's point of view who knows what's coming in the story, but as a reader, even though it's obvious that it's due to the old Jaiden's influence, it still makes us see him liking her and suffering for her, so even if it is later explained exactly why this happened as a reader, what I saw was Mc (even if under the influence of the former owner of the body) liking a woman who is going to be taken by another man, after all in the reader's view Even if it's his body that feels all of this it doesn't change the fact that this is currently his body and that this has affected his mind to a certain extent too (from what I've seen in MC's internal conflicts)

Dude, I understand what you're saying, but in my opinion, if Mc has feelings for a woman (even if it's influenced by his old body) and watches another guy taking his wife without doing anything, because he's not the " true" protagonist of the story and yes, an extra character, I will still feel that Mc is being cuckolded, something I don't like at all (and even though in logic Asher is the "real" Mc, by making us see the story from the perspective from "Extra" makes us see him as Mc, and seeing Mc merging non-stop is not something I like)
