ooh cool. are we going to go to the soviet union now?

An idea surfaced to the front of his mind, it had always been there but he'd regularily tried to ignore it. Now it finally broke through. And it made sense. It might give him the chance to change history. But if he didn't execute it just right; he might end up leading the Reichskanzler to victory. If he showed Hitler that he was a 'genius' at predicting what would happen when, Hitler might trust him to military matters and he could, for example, after the invasion of Poland, convince Hitler to invade Russia instead of France ect, and perhaps the German army would fall to the Soviets before too much harm could be done. The plan wasn't perfect, especially because the battle on the eastern front had been the bloodiest. He'd have to go to Moscow and tell the Soviet dictator that he'd need to rev his army. And if Hitler found out he'd taken a trip into the enemy's hands he'd be shot dead. A quick capitulation of Germany (within a few months for example) was impossible. But leading the Germans into the ready Russians hands might make the war last only two years instead of six. He wouldn't just be saving several countries from occupation but also many people from dying in the concentration camps, and, with some luck, be able to cut down the numbers of bombed cities. The war in the far east, in Asia, which was already raging, was one he couldn't do too much about. But perhaps a quick surrender of the Germans would persuade the Japanese to realize the West and the CCCP were enemies they didn't want to be up against. And perhaps nobody would have to use an atomic bomb. Wait - hadn't the fundamentals for the bomb been discovered in Germany? If the Reich was beaten by then, maybe nobody would ever build the bomb!

thx for the translations and i hope to read more speeches / or more of mein kampf.

"And I'd like to say one thing on this day that is perhaps noteworthy to Germans : I have been a 'prophet' many times in my life, and most of the times I was laughed at. In the time of my 'Kampf' for power it was, most of all, the Jewish people, that mocked my 'prophecie', that one day I would take over the leadership of the German state and with it the German people and that I would solve the jewish problem, and many others. I believe, that this past 'resounding' laughter of the jewish people in Germany, now chokes in their throats."

They walked through a good part of the camp. The SS-Officer explained some of it too Alistair. But the visuals explained more than the German-language ever could.

This is a cool new adventure story! I really like the fairy-tale world so far. The Kingdom names are lit (especially habgierdon). I can't wait to see where the quest for the princess takes Joseph! I recommend this book. But the updates could be more regular...

can't wait to see how Werner reacts...

Nikolai shrugged. His mind was racing but he remained calm on the outside. What was he going to tell Werner? He knew the boy couldn't continue his research with Wojciechowski if Dr. Ziegler was dead. He also knew that Werner would definitly be interrogared, espiecially if murder was suspected. He smoked the cigarette until the end and flicked it onto the ground. "Thanks for telling me, I owe you!" He said, clapping the guard on the shoulder. He just grunted and waved Nikolai away. Nikolai hurried back to Werner to tell him the news, already breaking his vow of silence after less than five minutes.

why is he lying? i hope @maydaymarko goes into this.

"There's not much to see in this picture, the form of the skull is absolutely normal," he started to say, then clicked to the second image, "here as well. If there's anything interresting to say about this photograph, it's that right here," and he pointed at the place with the long wooden stick some teachers still have in their classrooms, "there is a bit of a protrusion, that means a bump Werner, but that doesn't come from tumors, that's simply a birth defect. Not every skull is perfectly shaped, it's much like jaw bones which also can vary." He went to the next image, which he looked at in silence first, examining the details. Werner was mighty confused; why was Wojciechowski lying? The bump in his skull was not a birth defect, it was because of the tumor, which had changed bone structure in the areas of the skull that were close to it. The images obviously showed that, Wojciechowski was a good doctor and a cancer researcher so he must have known what it truely was. Werner's confusion level rose as Wojciechowski began to explain the next picture, claiming there was nothing wrong with the patient. "Here you can see again, the bone structure is normal apart from the birth defect, there are no abnormalties. You said the tumor would be about...here?"
