I thought this was a girl Hollow.

It only took her a couple of minutes to get to the gates, since they were already close by, and Orihine walked on in without a second thought, completely unaware of the dark aura of foreboding that permeated the entire building. Chiaki knew better: Assuming things remained more or less the same, this would be when that perverted hollow showed up, and there was no guarantee he would be as weak as he had been in the source material. Chiaki had even considered trying to dissuade Orihime from showing up. However, that was unlikely to work, and besides, that would mean she would have to go save Tatsuki alone and leave Orihime to fend for herself, so that ruled out that. Sticking together was probably for the best.

Fair enough.

Chiaki retreated back into the classroom and gave a small fist pump in celebration: she wanted Uryu to get involved, since, as a Quincy, he could not only effectively dispatch any hollows nearby, but do so before she or Ichigo even had a chance to reach the area. Uryu would have been watching the shinigami by now, so he would likely know about Acidwire, but even if he didn't, Quincy had incredible reishi sensory abilities. Chiaki recalled that Uryu had even been able to sense the state of reishi down to the speed of their fluctuations, being able to calculate how many hundreds of thousands of times per second the Arrancar Cirucci's blades vibrated. Detecting Acidwire's trace particles on Orihime to know she would have been targeted would be light work, let alone finding him if he manifested.

Fair enough, but it feels like she choosing to erase Acidwire's existence, just to defy Rukia. Also considering she knew Orihime as a kid, wouldn't she have known him to a certain degree? I just find it really messed up she's indirectly choosing to erase her friend's brother soul from existence and not feel any kind of guilt or shame whatsoever, you know?

I wonder how Chiaki will feel if Uryu actually kills Acidwire? Orihime is her friend, and I can't imagine she actually wants her brother erased from existence.

That's a lot of characters in bleach. They don't like him, but they need him for help and information.

Urahara decided to immediately dash any hopes she had of this conversation going as planned by immediately asking for her identity, an interjection that caused her blood to run ice-cold, spreading through her veins like frozen roots planting her feet to the ground. Luckily, Rukia, perhaps more than a little shielded by the bliss of ignorance, was completely unamused at the shop owner's lackadaisical attitude, and simply sought to continue on with business as usual, arm's crossed in her signature pose.

Was that really the same issue in the 2000s compared to the modern backlog gaming worries of today?

"Hey, that was a one-time thing! I just meant that all that studying takes a bit, I do still have to memorize things you know! Besides, I do still have a lot of games on my backlog too, and I do want to get through them eventually."
