Arkanum - Children of Chaos is a fantasy space opera about a young man, Kaylan, as he ascends to a higher plane of existence and learns about the greater universe out there. On his journey of discovery, he finds new friends, meets elves and other races and falls in love. He also witnesses humanity's own struggle to find its place within the empyreum, a vast empire spanning most of the universe and almost as old as the middle plane itself. In the universe of Arkanum, there are infinite dimensions, thousands of different races, supreme factions fighting for greater power and secretive organizations behind them. Technology is so advanced it might as well be magic. There are light-sword duels, light-gun shootouts, roguish treasure hunters, honor-bound warriors, powerful mages, scheming politicians and heroic protagonists.

Neurotech, a company owned by the richest man on Earth, Melon Husk, created the Soulink, a chip that, when implanted into the brain, allowed people to access electronic devices with their minds. Jane Brogan, known online as Blue Jane, or BJ for short, is a young gamer girl and streamer who finds herself forced to get the Soulink implant, like everyone else, just to be able to play the newest games, all of which require the chip, and remain relevant in the streaming scene. We follow Jane on her journey to become a famous streamer, with special abilities, as the world around her changes drastically with this new technology.

Imagine you one day woke up inside the story you yourself were writing and found yourself inhabiting the body of your main character. And, as if that weren't enough, imagine if you discovered you could still write the story, altering the very reality of your world. It would be like a dream come true, right? You could visit all those amazing places you envisioned, meet all the characters you know and love, and, if any problems came up, you could literally "write" them off. It would truly be awesome... Ah, but perhaps not all is as it would seem... This is the tale of an aspiring young writer who is "isekaied", or transported, into his own fantasy world, The Skylands, and placed in the skin of the protagonist he created, Valiant Alfenheart.
