There is one thing I appreciate above all others when I read a novel, it is the courage of the author to break away from the established canon and follow his instinct. It is easy to fall into the clichés of an impressive prologue, only to then fall into a continuous disappointment until the novel begins to gain pace, however, starting from the first person point of view which is quite refreshing, to a beginning in which the brushstrokes are light, creating more questions than answers, generates good expectations to continue reading the novel.
