Ok one last thing on the Rias situation. Rias genuinely loves her family, and no matter how talented one of them is, she would not act like this. Just think of that brat Millicas. Of course you can use the excuse of age being a factor in how she's acting, but that part of Rias that cares for her family has been the most consistent part of her character. You as an author can definitely write the characters how you want to, but man is this a disservice to the original Rias. I won't comment on the dxd arc anymore, because I already know it's just gonna be constant negativity from me, and I don't really want to put you through that lol.

Bro this MC is terrible, willing to sacrifice people he has spent actual time with for someone he has no memories of, and now this? Bro needs a ton of character development, if not a whole character reset, just to be somewhat likeable. It's only been 20 chapters, but this whole "revive someone I don't even really know at all costs" situation is just tiring. This would've landed better if you actually reincarnated him and not did the whole memory thing.
While Arata could have created a quest and offered a reward for the revival of Maya, he chose not to do so out of pride.

True, but it is up to the author to make the drama and issues seem realistic, and not just because the MC loses his brain for brief moments. Problems that are caused by the antagonist outsmarting or outmaneuvering the MC are good, problems that occur because the MC is just too dumb are annoying to read. tl;dr = Forced drama is annoying and boring to read. (This isn't a shot at this story, just your comment)
