Yeah I thought so too, afterall the prototype omnitrix had ALOT of flaws, so Azmuth must have accounted for dna samples like an ectonurite when making the final omnitrix. The omniverse Ghostfreak design was cool though.
That was the attack titan doing its regular thing, it won't stand for fuckers trying to take any sort of freedom from itself and Eren, in this case Zs'Skayr is trying to take over Eren’s body without his consent. So attack titan and omnitrix safeguard might as well collab to take care of this ectonurite.
