The first few chapters had left me hoping as I had written in the review but now I have completely lost interest. Even after the awakening the only kind of revenge is sexual (excessive, even with dark Tag in my opinion). The protagonist remains weak because he either has to hide his powers or uses his points for useless statistics, leaving him the laughing stock he always was.
I believe that this ability can serve more as a mental "breakup" for those who made him suffer such as, for example, making his mother dream of his torture at the academy and making them feel the emotions and pain of which they were responsible.
A mischievous smile spread across my lips. I could immediately envision countless deliciously twisted scenarios: crafting erotic dreams where a woman I desire begs for me, or giving her an unforgettable wet dream. This skill opens up so many possibilities.

I completely agree. I've been following this novel since about chapter 70 and the MC's "speed" of growth has always seemed a bit slow but it was balanced with the events and enemies he faced. However, after the martial arts arc, many characters were introduced who could kill him effortlessly and he himself is constantly hunted by them, making him appear weak even after 1,200+ chapters. If we add to this the fact that Kaede and Rosie, although for various reasons, are already stronger than him, the "perception" of his strength is even weaker. In reality, his growth has remained constant, but the succession of recent events is not allowing the MC's strength to have the same impact as before the martial arts arc, or at least that's the perception.
Seriously ? Our MC was literally slapped for 800 chapters to reach this level of power and now the villain is stronger than him just by drinking some blood and the side character who is about his age is at the same level as him ... Come on ...
Cyril turned toward him lazily, brushing Harvey's blood from his hand. "Ah, Evan," he said mockingly. "Finally showing your fangs. Ninth Ascension… I suppose you're not completely useless after all."

Honestly, I didn't talk about plot holes, just inconsistencies, many, too many. Examples? The whole post-duel situation where the Duchess demands his bloodline because Sylva won when she shouldn't have given that the duel had already been lost and the substitute, even if she won, wouldn't have gotten anything (MC's own words); his bones described for entire chapters as the strongest material in the universe, only to then be cut up just to show how OP his opponent was; have a healing ability on par with the saint and then make him appear as a wretch marked by scars and writings... I could continue with at least 10 more examples for which you could give "motivations" that however would not hold up... As much as a fantasy a novel can be, there are narrative consistencies that are missing in this novel... I'll give one last example hoping to spark self-criticism: the last scene, the one in which he fakes the crime and then is "paraded" like a criminal is unlikely ... Why? Because a duchess's daughter has an honor to "preserve" and would never be paraded in such a condition... The whole thing is just done on purpose to create the "look, it's him again, kill him" scene... Just like after the duel, the bloodline scene is based on an inconsistency just to "show" the princess's bloodline. It's just my opinion.
Thanks for the reply, author! And yes, I've read the chapters that cover the first two points... I hope his quest to "remove" the "leash" doesn't limit him too much in future situations, but again, that's just personal preference... Good luck with your future work!
After using the app for a while I've gotten into the habit of "Speed Read" a few chapters of novels I want to start to see if it's really worth reading or if I'll find myself starting something that won't be satisfying. This novel is one of the few that recently inspired me to read with passion and I must say it's truly well-written. The story isn't anything new or exceptionally revolutionary: classic transmigration into a loser's body, portals, monster hunters, academies, the system, etc. However, the writing quality, the comedy and spontaneity in certain situations, the characterization of the characters and the relationships that develop between them are truly well-written and the novel is enjoyable and immerses you in the world with surprising ease. If you're reading this review, it means you have at least the slightest interest in the novel, so I'll give you some advice: start reading it, you won't regret it. SPOILER A "personal observation"... In the last few chapters, some points have emerged that, at least for me, could affect the quality of the novel: 1) The MC talks about inherited memories in one chapter but, in certain situations or dialogues, it seems like he doesn't have them (see when Luka apologizes to him in the car when the S-rank gate is mentioned, as if the MC knew exactly about his father, when a few chapters later it becomes clear he doesn't); 2) Regarding this father thing... I hope the MC doesn't "let it slide" as if it weren't important as is done in certain novels when, with research or by talking to his mother, he could easily discover why he was treated "with consideration" at the VHC; 3) This is actually a double point... The fact that even before the story begins, a "leash" is being placed on the MC's abilities could really ruin the novel. After the "evaluation" the MC will essentially be forced to show only what he already shown effectively limiting both him and his "pillars" since, even if they were given abilities, they wouldn't be able to use them otherwise they'd be considered anomalies. If this is the way forward (though I hope not), at least the system should evolve by eliminating restrictions like the 24-hour skill swap or by having him sell the skills he can't use by recovering SP or converting "excess" skills into stat points (again, I think the MC is underestimating this aspect too much by remaining with F-rank stats when he can easily increase them) ... In essence, if the world places a "leash" on the MC, the "leash" of the system must be removed, otherwise skills like his "shadow" that have not yet been used once will never be usable. The "strong acts weak" novels are not really interesting. Again, these are just personal opinions and tastes and the novel so far has been really enjoyable... Good luck for the future, author
Look, MC strength is the least of the problems .. The inconsistencies of this novel are endless... I speak to you as someone who bought the privileged chapters in the first couple of months so I don't think I can be called a "Hater" ... Just watch what happens after the duel... that whole scene doesn't make sense because if you go back towards chapters 60-70 (I don't remember correctly) the MC explains that after the surrender of a participant, the winner is already declared and the substitute takes part in the duel only "symbolically" but even by winning he cannot demand any reward. The post-duel scene was only done to show the princess's power but it added to the novel's already many inconsistencies. I could list many others but honestly it is not my intention to "denigrate" people's work. Simply, when telling a story you have to keep track of everything you write because you can't contradict yourself every 10 chapters.
Even though the law of "The strongest is always right" is normal in this world, I hope the MC does not forget this moment. The queen wanted to use him as a laboratory rat and Lilith was part of the plan that would kill him and his entire family. Hopefully when the time comes he will take his revenge by "subjugating" both of them, especially Lilith... In just two appearances she is probably the character I hate most in the novel
Like other readers from what I've seen, I occasionally "return" to see what path this novel is taking after "abandoning" it about 150 chapters ago. This means the novel left you with something, even if only a small one, since dissatisfaction with something stems from expectation. Expectations for this novel were primarily for the great potential that could be explored with the system and the good setup of the world and the relationships that could have been created. Unfortunately, even now the path followed (and I'm not referring to revenge or not) doesn't explore that potential. The MC never uses his system to its full potential, ever. Going to an SSS-ranked villain, obtaining an artifact that can literally plunge the world into chaos, and never using it; going to another and receiving a star as a gift ...nice, but what's the point? At a certain point, he "argues" with the system in a squabble that seemed specifically created to eliminate two of his OP powers, which, incidentally, hadn't been used anyway otherwise, he would have become too strong by now. And i could give many more examples of this kind. Reading the novel it is clear that the author constantly tries to "create" situations to develop the MC's powers and his relationships but too many contradictions make this process worse than what would have been a slow and progressive change in power and behavior. We see entire chapters of dialogue that should lead to a change in behavior only to then fall back into the same previous mistakes; we see entire chapters where the MC unlocks incredible powers that seem to make him one of the strongest, only to then discover with a few lines that the new character just introduced is incredibly stronger than him; we see the MC be so "smart" that he plays an entire empire and even realizes how the system wants to "manipulate" him, only to see him in situations so ridiculous that even an idiot could have avoided. It's clear that the author wants to create an "aura of inferiority" around the MC so as to give him "moments of revenge," but many things feel forced and create contradictions that destroy the MC himself (I'm speaking on a reader level). All of this leads the novel into a constant limbo between what is and what could be. It's neither fowl nor fish. Writing isn't easy, especially the long chapters this author has accustomed us to, even if they can be redundant at times. It takes time and passion, regardless of how the work will be perceived by the reader, so I hope mine is perceived as an "opinion" and not a "judgment." Is the novel perfect? No. Is it one of the best on the platform? Certainly not, but among the sea of novels you'll find, it could certainly be more appealing and captivating than many others.
