What can I say about the author Zentmeister? I'm always impressed to see such good writing in a web novel. He really knows how to write character-driven stories. Can he be a bit depraved sometimes? Sure but honestly, I like that in his works. In a world where everyone constantly has to watch what they say or do online, it's refreshing to read his stories, which would probably be impossible to publish through conventional means.
As for the novel itself, you have an ice-age apocalypse setting with a harsh, savage climate. He also includes the military elements that he often puts in his stories, which is great because that kind of plot he shines more. I'm enjoying the direction and focus of the story so far.
This same week I read a cold-climate light novel by the author of Goblin Slayer, Kumo Kagyu, called Moscow 2160, and I can honestly say that even with just a few chapters, The Winter Tyrant entertained me more.
very nice work.
