Nice chapter. It is really nice that this fanfic focuses deeply on the characters and their relationships, while balancing it out with top tier worldbuilding. Its sad but emotional moments like these are either long gone from the original (or they were brushed over really quickly).

I am betting a lot that zephiras is either a nc that sunny will have an insane beef with or it is actually the unholy nightmare creature that was mentioned in the interlude chapter. Seeing how the author did an insane job with the 3d nightmare and the backstory of aleras, I think it is possible that we will have some backround information on the newly emerging unholy nightmare creatures, or even fifth or sixth nigjtmare. Though I think sunny will become a spirit on his own.

It is so goood. The mystery that you have built around sacred sunny , the way the charavters make wromg but still logical concklusions and the way shadow and his lineage are treated give it a really unsetteling feeling. I really hope you dont drop this. I have a feeling that some insane things will happen.
