Akaguro Katsuya had never dreamed of being any kind of hero, be it his current life or the abruptly ended one floating around in his head, and his odd situation didn’t really change things. That said, in a world where being a Pro Hero was an actual profession and everyone, including him, was super, sitting around doing nothing wasn’t an option either. Now the biggest disclaimer. As my first use of the Gacha stuff, I’m keeping rolls completely random. I really want to see if I can write a story when I’m living in total mystery about what the MC will end up with. Naturally the story could go so many different ways or end up in a dead end because of that. Bro could end up overpowered after the first arc at school. Man could end up washed trash. I genuinely do not know anything beyond the pre U.A. chapters I’m in the middle of editing and have already edited. Bro has potential though. Let’s see where the Gacha takes us. All in search of one who could grant her wish. A wish for freedom. But as the saying goes, one should be careful what they wish for. Her desperate bid draws a soul older than even her own into the Lands Between. A soul with the potential to not just grant her wish but upset the balance of the world entirely. A soul that could one day eclipse her power several times over. Left with no other choice but to take on that risk, Marika focuses all of her efforts on him. Being reborn into the world of RWBY, an unfinished show that placed the would be heroes against impossible odds, might as well have been its own kind of hell. What was some average joe like him supposed to do about all that shit? Run behind one of the kingdoms’ walls and pretend he didn’t know what was to come? He'd considered it. God knows he did. But that wasn’t a real option. If he wanted to ensure he had a future in this world he had to pave the way for it with his own two hands. That would’ve carried on for years to come had it not been for a faithful run in with one Neopolitan, Neo to those who know her personally, a career criminal infamous within the city of Vale. As it turns out, Neo, a moment away from killing Corvo, recognizes that part of him, deciding that he and he alone was like her. Her objective? Help Corvo recognize who he truly is so he can start going after what he wants rather than what's expected of him. He wants someone dead? She’ll give him the opportunity. He wants to go to Beacon? She’d already accidentally brought that about in their initial fight. He wants a harem? It might take a little planning depending on who caught his interest but it couldn’t be that difficult to make happen. Even if he was blind to some of his desires, she’d be making sure he got everything he wanted and understood who he truly was. Because they were meant to be. (A/N: This isn't a translation.
