Hello ^^ To answer your question, Coco is more of an animal than a human. He only shape shifts as a human when he is under-cover or just because it’s easier to overall make actions in this form (such as grabbing onto things or talking). But even as a human, he still has the mind of a parrot. And just like any bird, Coco made the first thing that he considered as ‘safe’ his mother. To Coco, Capricorn is his savior, his mother. I hope you understand it better now ^^
