I don’t read it on Chinese websites because auto-translate doesn’t work for paid chapters. It’s usually only available on MTL sites or through proper translations. Here on Webnovel, we have both, and I usually read versions done by good translators. That doesn’t seem to be the case here, though. Based on the comments, it looks like a poorly done MTL translation, just made less obvious with some AI editing but still with a lot of mistakes that wouldn't usually happen if the translator is reading the fic.
I know, but one thing doesn't eliminate the other; a more complete story here also benefits him in gaining more Patreon members. Someone who would never pay his Patreon probably won't start paying just because of this, and a more complete translation attracts more members. It's not like anyone has a monopoly on translation, so why not help everyone? But I don't know, not everyone has that long-term vision.

Honest question: why do you post so many translations of good fics but then don’t continue them or focus on them? Honestly, I believe focusing on good fics, with consistent updates, releasing several free and paid chapters at a good quality, is much more worthwhile for the community and also financially than simply choosing a bunch of stories to translate and, I don’t know, taking around three months to finish 30 chapters. That discourages new translators from picking up those fics, stops readers from being able to read them quickly, and also prevents you from getting the maximum benefit from them. It only makes sense if it’s automated, some kind of higher-quality “MTL” where you don’t need to read and review the stories. But even then, there would probably be a lot of errors related to specific context, character glossaries, and lore. Is that the case? I’m asking this because I saw that you have more than 130 fics on your Patreon, and many of them either don’t continue or continue at a very slow pace. It also doesn’t seem like it’s attracting that many members, while I’ve seen some translators who focus on 10 good fics and manage to get over 200 members. Sorry if this sounds a bit confrontational, but it’s a genuine question. I’d really like to see you focus on fewer fics, but actually continue the good stories at a healthy pace.
Really enjoying this so far. The mix of The Walking Dead with a Zomboid-style system is pretty interesting, nothing to complain so far. ..
