I helped her out, but I very politely refused her thinly veiled request to go out on a date. I definitely have a specific type of woman I find attractive, and she was really not it. Let us just diplomatically say that Debra was built like a flat highway road, and I have always been much more of a mountain guy.

He did not like it. There were few things in this world that Albus Dumbledore truly disliked, and very near the top of that short list sat the unknown. As the unknown means bad news. The unknown waited, and the thing you failed to understand today was so very often the thing that undid you tomorrow, when it was far too late to act. He had learned that lesson once before, with another quiet, gifted boy whose depths he had failed to sound until the world was already burning. He did not intend to learn it twice.
