Banyak siluman ilmu hitam yang mengganggu kehidupan mereka.Tapi mereka tetap bisa melewati cobaan itu. Sampai mereka membangun kerajaannya menjadi disegani.

Sebelum mendapat bimbingan dari Ki Kebo Kanigara, ilmunya masih belum seberapa, hanya setingkat lebih tinggi dari kesaktian para pendekar level menengah seperti Mantingan, Wirasaba, Jaka Soka atau Lawa Ijo. tapi setelah menggembleng diri dibawah bimbingan Ki Kebo Kanigara, ilmunya meningkat tajam, bahkan jika harus melawan para sesepuh dunia persilatan sekalipun Mahesa Jenar tidak akan kalah, sehingga Mahesa Jenar kemudian disebut sebagai titisan dari Almarhum Pangeran Handayaningrat sendiri.
