What are the most interesting funny garage sale stories you've heard?

A friend of mine bought an old radio at a garage sale. When he turned it on at night, it started broadcasting some really strange and disturbing voices that didn't seem to be from any normal station. He unplugged it and never touched it again.

At one yard sale, I saw a set of really old bowling balls. The owner told me that his family had a bowling alley in their basement for years. One time, they had a family bowling tournament and his aunt accidentally threw the ball the wrong way and it went through a window. They all still laugh about it to this day. He was selling the bowling balls because he was moving to a smaller place.
