Can you share some memorable 'first day of 6th grade stories'?

There was a 5th grader who was looking forward to the first day because his favorite teacher was going to be his homeroom teacher. When he walked into the classroom and saw the teacher, he was overjoyed. Throughout the day, he participated actively in all the activities, and his enthusiasm rubbed off on the other students, making the first day a really positive and energetic one for the whole class.

My most memorable moment on the first day of 7th grade was when we got our new textbooks. They smelled so new and fresh. I remember flipping through the pages of my science book and being amazed at all the new things we were going to learn that year. It made me feel excited about the upcoming academic challenges.
