Glazed Jade Shatters
I wanted to buy my husband his most coveted Tang Three-Color Glazed Pottery as an anniversary surprise.
Unexpectedly, a mysterious person suddenly appeared in the middle, and with one move lit the sky lantern, taking the porcelain horse away.
I was just about to leave when my phone dinged with a notification — my husband's supplementary card had just swiped a big sum at the auction house, purchasing that very Tang Three-Color Glazed Pottery.
My heart tensed up, and I immediately called the bank to freeze that supplementary card.
At the pickup counter, I saw a beautifully dressed, stunning woman standing there. People around were pointing and laughing at her, joking that she spent money but couldn’t take the item.
She turned pale, turned around, and fled in embarrassment.
Half a month later, Caleb Blackwood and I went abroad for a trip. Just as we got off the plane, someone covered my mouth and nose with a towel, and I passed out.
When I woke up, I found myself locked in an iron cage, with my hands and feet chained.
The host on stage stammered in Chinese:
'Today, we're auctioning this woman. Whoever bids higher will take her away!'
I frantically grasped the iron bars, taking one look to see Caleb Blackwood sitting below the stage.
His eyes were cold, and he wore a malicious smile on his lips:
'Iris Sterling, don’t you like stealing the spotlight? Don’t you love intercepting others’ sky lanterns? Today, let's make you the center of attention, how does that feel?'
