It all began one late Winter but ended only months later when Summer came around. When Briella's boyfriend left for University, he left her with words that rang in her head. Though the thought of this may come across as cliché, it is inevitable to think that something may happen between the two. I am sure that there are many lonely souls, just like us, out and about. Blending in with the crowd," Nadia replied. Little to Briella's knowledge, Nadia was right. "May I ask, what's such a beautiful lady like yourself doing all alone on Valentines Day?" A deep voice caught Briella's attention. Turning around, she saw a tall, handsome guy facing her. A small smile stretched across his lips. "I don't really have a Valentine this year... In fact, I don't even know why I agreed to come here, but hey, here I am..." Briella replied. She was just about to thank him for his compliment when suddenly his voice was heard once again. "Wait, like no Valentine... at all?". Briella shook her head as a reply. "Nope.". "Well..." he began. "Perhaps... I can change that. What do you say?". "What are you implying by that?". "Well...". He bowed down right before her. "Would you like to dance with me?... I'd like to be your Valentine this year.". That Valentines night was when Briella met her boyfriend, Dylan, and instantly fell in love with him.

Unable to be involved with physical activities, living life hoping to not get sick again. He dreams of the day when his wish would be fulfilled, a wish to be healthy. On the first of July, after recently recovering from a severe illness, he enters a new school, where he hopes to be able to pass the time peacefully. Follow as he goes through his life, experiencing the difficulties of adjusting to a new environment, as well as his sick body. Every day, an emotion. Every night, an ominous tick. Maybe, just what you see isn’t always the truth.

It doesn’t help when he gets accused of murdering the high priest and stealing his magic gloves. Now, Niko has to dodge palace guards, try not to let his curse get the best of him and figure out how to get magical gloves off his hands without resorting to amputation. All while trying to find a king no one has ever seen and getting further entangled in the secrets of his new friends.
