Anurada
I am Anuradha. My name means a bright star, yet in my life there has never been brightness.
My biological parents died in a tragic accident, and I was brought up in my uncle’s house — not as a daughter, but as someone unwanted, a burden to be passed on. My childhood dreams and hopes were shattered when I was forced into child marriage, a decision made without my voice, without my choice.
In my husband’s family, I became unwanted once again. My mother-in-law never accepted me, and though my husband was not unkind, he remained distant, leaving me to carry my struggles alone. Every day felt like another chain binding me tighter, pulling me further away from the star I was meant to be.
But deep within, a question still burns:
Can I ever find brightness in my life?
Can a star, no matter how lost in the dark, ever shine again?
