Preference Delights
Preference Delights follows Zarmeena Khan, a bold and ambitious girl who dreams of success above all else. Living on a modest farmhouse with her mother, brother, and wise grandmother Yasmeen, she is a math prodigy admired for her fearlessness. At university, she’s respected for her wit and feared by bullies, but romance has no place in her plans.
That changes when Salaar, a Cambridge-returned charmer, falls deeply for her. Unaware of Zarmeena’s indifference, his mother sends a proposal that Yasmeen rejects, favoring Fareed, her late daughter’s son. Out of loyalty, Zarmeena agrees to marry Fareed, shattering Salaar. But fate intervenes when Salaar’s grandmother, Shameen, reconnects with Yasmeen, her long-lost college friend bound by a tragic past. Fulfilling an old promise, Yasmeen gives Zarmeena’s hand to Salaar instead.
The marriage begins loveless. When Yasmeen dies soon after, Fareed’s family cuts ties, leaving Zarmeena isolated and resentful. Salaar, determined to win her trust, secretly helps her brother through drug rehabilitation—but a misunderstanding makes Zarmeena accuse him of cruelty. Though the truth clears him, Salaar disappears, heartbroken.
In a twist, Zarmeena tries to win him back by kidnapping him, only to be abducted by real criminals and poisoned. Salaar rescues her, proving his devotion. As Zarmeena recovers, she takes charge of her father-in-law’s business, soon rising to CEO. Her success strains their marriage, stirring jealousy in Salaar, until he realizes true love means support, not competition.
In the end, Zarmeena finds she no longer has to choose between ambition and love—because Salaar makes her dreams his own, turning her delight into his only preference.
